The Leo Bernstein Jewish Academy of Fine Arts (LBJA) soccer teams just completed an award-winning season.

The Silver Spring, Maryland, school’s two teams, composed of 25 children, competed in the Cosmos Soccer League of Montgomery County. The teams practiced twice a week after school and competed on Sunday mornings. The “JV” team of younger children, including kids as young as four years old, won first place in the league for their age group, while the older children (ages 8-13) took the third-place medal.

Anyone interested in working on their soccer skills is welcome to join LBJA’s weeklong summer soccer camp, held Aug. 20-25 and open to the community.

Call Coach Ari Ganji at 240-437-7262 or the school at 301-592-8433 for details.
