More than 500 people turned out to support the Jewish Community Relations Council (JCRC) of Greater Washington's critical work at its 81st annual gala on June 5, held at Congregation Har Shalom in Potomac, Maryland.

Dozens of elected officials, community members, and interfaith clergy joined the festivities. JCRC President Sam Kaplan and Gala co-chairs Stefanie Sanders Levy and Barry Perlis highlighted the agency's achievements over the past year, including successfully leading a community effort to establish a nonstop flight to Israel; spearheading the enormous interfaith vigil service at Adas Israel Congregation in DC after the Tree of Life tragedy; and launching the highly successful Student to Student peer education program.
