Rabbi Yosef Singer, spiritual leader of the Young Israel of Potomac and President of the Rabbinical Council of Greater Washington, was one of several honorees representing a cross-section of American Jewry National Council of Young Israel (NCYI) Gala Dinner March 15 in Flushing, New York.
In addition to celebrating the work of NCYI, the event marked 70 years of the State of Israel and applauded the United States’ declaration of Jerusalem as the eternal capital of Israel.
In his address to the approximately 700 people gathered for the event, Dinner Chairman and NCYI 1st Vice President Dr. Joseph Frager recognized the honorees for embodying the values and core mission of the National Council of Young Israel. Each of the honorees also addressed the crowd in a tribute video, in which they expressed the tremendous impact that the NCYI has had on their lives and their communities.
