The parade also honored the area’s first responders, including Sander Cohen, 33, a deputy chief state fire marshal and lieutenant with the Rockville Volunteer Fire Department who died earlier this month. He was killed along with a colleague when they were struck by a vehicle as they stood on the shoulder of a local highway. (PHOTO CREDIT: DAVID HARTZMAN)
